Library – Our Resource Centre

The School library (Resource Centre) is integral to the teaching and learning process and is the hub of all activities in the school. It facilitates the work of the classroom teacher and ensures each student has equitable access to resources. Pragati library provides the best library experience for every learner.

School library programs and services seek to:

• Create and develop motivating, flexible physical and digital learning spaces.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan, implement and evaluate inquiry-based programs that will ensure students acquire skills to collect, critically analyse and organise information, problem-solve and communicate their findings.
• Provide and promote quality fiction to develop and sustain in students the habit and enjoyment of reading for pleasure and to enrich students' intellectual, cultural and emotional growth.
• Provide teachers with access to relevant curriculum information and professional development materials within and outside the school; and opportunities to cooperatively plan, implement and evaluate learning programs.

A Library Advisory Committee comprising Principal / Vice Principal, Chief Librarian, one teacher with domain expertise, and 2 students (Club Heads) from each Grade is established to achieve said purpose.

Laboratory

"Laboratories are places where students experience science in its real sense"

Our laboratories are high quality & well equipped with advanced materials for students to comprehend the concepts thoroughly, observe the process and deeply understand the relationship between action & reaction. These laboratories furnish to various requirements of the secondary and Senior secondary curriculum.

Regular preservation and modernisation of laboratories is carried out by the staff of the department. Students are given the opportunity to perform the experiments prescribed in the syllabi and to also carry out different projects under the supervision and guidance of their teachers. New and latest equipment, chemicals and reagents are procured from time to time to meet the academic standard as per the requisite of the changing curriculum.

Hostel Facility

A secure home away from home for students from Grade 5 upwards.

Pragati Academy offers a residential hostel programme designed to complement academic rigour with structure, wellbeing, and community living. Boarders benefit from supervised study periods, balanced nutrition, and access to sports and co-curricular activities—within a campus culture rooted in discipline and care.

Residential teams work closely with class teachers and parents to track progress, attendance, and welfare. Common spaces and routines are planned to encourage collaboration, responsibility, and respect among students from diverse backgrounds.
