ATL Innovation lab – ATL Hub to incubate new ideas

With a vision to innovative mind set , Atal Innovation Mission under Niti Ayog Govt of India has establishing Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) and Pragati has a state of the art ATL Lab . The innovator lab has helped to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.

Pragati’s ATL lab gives do-it-yourself mode opportunities to trigger and create innovation skills. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering Art and Math). The ATLlab has provided an opportunity to students to realize science around using ‘do it yourself’ kits and equipment on – science, electronics, robotics, open-source microcontroller boards, sensors and 3D printers and computers. Other desirable facilities include meeting rooms and video conferencing facility.

ATL Objectives

• To create workspaces where young minds can learn innovation skills, sculpt ideas through hands-on activities, work and learn in a flexible environment.
• To empower our youth with the 21 century skills of creativity, innovation, critical thinking, design thinking, social and cross-cultural collaboration, ethical leadership and so on.
• To help build innovative solutions for India’s unique problems and thereby support India’s efforts to grow as a knowledge economy.

Library – Our Resource centre

The School library (Resource Centre) is integral to the teaching and learning process and is the hub of all activities in the school. It facilitates the work of the classroom teacher and ensures each student has equitable access to resources. Pragati library provides the best library experience for every learner.

School library programs and services seek to:

• Create and develop motivating, flexible physical and digital learning spaces.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan, implement and evaluate inquiry-based programs that will ensure students acquire skills to collect, critically analyse and organise information, problem-solve and communicate their findings.
• Provide and promote quality fiction to develop and sustain in students the habit and enjoyment of reading for pleasure and to enrich students' intellectual, cultural and emotional growth.
• Provide teachers with access to relevant curriculum information and professional development materials within and outside the school; and opportunities to cooperatively plan, implement and evaluate learning programs

Library Advisory Committee comprising Principal / Vice Principal, Chief Librarian, one teacher with domain expertise, 2 students (Club Heads) from each Grade is established to achieve said purpose.

Class Libraries

Class libraries are functioning for classes V to VII. Class libraries are designed to help students get connected to books during their leisure hours in an informal manner.

Opening Hours

The library is open every school day from 08.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m.

Classrooms

We bring technology into the classroom through SMART board classrooms that not just empower the teacher with well researched mapped to curriculum digital modules but improves productivity by bringing abstract & difficult curriculum concepts to life inside classrooms. It also enables instant assessment of learning outcome in class.

Laboratory

"Laboratories are places where students experience science in its real sense" Our laboratories are high quality & well equipped with advanced materials for students to comprehend the concepts thoroughly , observe the process and deeply understand the relationship between action & reaction. These laboratories furnish to various requirements of the secondary and Senior secondary curriculum. Regular preservation and modernisation of laboratories is carried out by the staff of the department. Students are given the opportunity to perform the experiments prescribed in the syllabi and to also carry out different projects under the supervision and guidance of their teachers. New and latest equipment, chemicals and reagents are procured from time to time to meet the academic standard as per the requisite of the changing curriculum.

Computer Labs

Computer labs are equipped with learning materials, internet access and under expert supervision to equip students skills necessary to advance their careers.

Other facilities include

• Dining - We provide healthy & nutritious vegetarian lunch for day scholars in the school canteen. Residential students are provided with Non-vegetarian options during weekends & one week day. All meals are catered considering the nutritional requirements of the students.
• Sports - Basic amenities include football field, Cricket practice pitch, Volleyball court, Basket ball court , shuttle badminton & athletics. Coaching by experienced professionals provided for Cricket & Football ball.
• Transport – Pick up & drop facilities within 15 km radius with Aaya’s & Drivers accountable for every student boarded the bus.
